This Audi A4 came to us with a dry-rotted, badly worn convertible top that was pulling away from the rear glass window and beginning to fall apart.

Can mold and mildew always be cleaned from a convertible top?

Unfortunately, no. When the staining has worked deeply into older material, repeated cleaning may still leave the top looking spotted and worn.

That was the problem with this Corvette. Instead of continuing to fight stains that would not come out, the owner chose a complete convertible-top replacement—and the car’s appearance was restored.
