🚨Move Over for Emergency Vehicles 🚨
The state of Florida has a Move Over Law that requires you to either move over or significantly slow down for disabled vehicles on the side of the road. The law also requires drivers to move over or slow down for emergency vehicles, utility and sanitation vehicles, tow trucks, wreckers and maintenance/construction vehicles.

Here is the full statute:
As of January 1, 2024, F.S. 316.126 (known as the Vehicle Move-Over Law) was amended to add disabled vehicles to the list of vehicles for
which driver’s must move over or slow down. The addition applies those disabled vehicles meeting the following criteria: …disabled motor vehicle is stopped and is displaying warning lights or hazard lights; is stopped and is using emergency flares or posting emergency signage; or is stopped and one or more persons are visibly present, the driver of every other vehicle, as soon as it is safe: Vehicles on the highway passing such a disabled vehicle shall vacate the lane closest to the shoulder on which the disabled vehicle is at rest OR slow 20 MPH. Same restrictions as for a law enforcement vehicle on the roadside.

This isn’t just a picture of a beautiful truck, it’s a picture of a accomplishment, a goal set and achieved, a risk taken and rewarded, this is a picture of hard work , dedication and a promise filled to my family that I would do everything I can to give them a good life…I can’t believe how much this company has grown into what it is today! Job Opening: Full-Time Flatbed Tow Truck Operator
Bakers Towing and Emergency Services is hiring an experienced full-time flatbed tow truck operator to join our team in the Naples, FL area.
Key Requirements:
*Must live in Naples Florida preferably Naples or Golden Gate( must be able to resond to calls in 20 minutes or less if working nights)
• Proven experience as a tow truck operator (must be able to safely operate Class A and Class B tow trucks)
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Drug-free
• No felony convictions (this position involves working closely with law enforcement)
• Reliable and able to take a company tow truck home on occasion
• Flexible schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM; must be available for some nights, occasional weekends, and at least one weekend day as needed
About the Position: We specialize in high-end luxury and exotic automobiles, classics, and more, providing local towing as well as statewide transport. Our services include flatbed towing for lowered vehicles, exotics, motorcycles, and other specialty needs. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for varied hours and on-call work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
