Just reflecting on this past 18 year journey.. I did this mostly on my own. I did go through a few employees that for the most part my need for perfection over came them and my obsession for trying to be perfect. I started out my 300 sq. ft. garage at the house for 5 years, built an 1800 sq, ft. retail shop in Midvale and ended up building the last shop at 4k sq. ft. shop 4 bays, and ran it mostly on my own. 15-25 bikes at a time, all phases of work from service, Accessories, motors and tranny's. Ran the books, paid the bills, reconciled the registers, answered the phones, ordered the parts , received the parts, wrote up the work orders, closed the tickets, washed the bikes, did the P.R. kept the shop as clean as possible all the time. And the list goes on....If you have the time scroll through the photos from the beginning on Viking V-Twins page., crazy to think I did so much as a one man band... Failure or quitting was never an option. and why I'm not dead already I don't know... Very bitter Sweet day for me...

Today was the last day for me in the New Shop... Its been a rough 18 years to say the least. I tried my best to educate the new owners , Karl, Kolby and Joel on how I kept a higher standard when it came to repairs and treating customers......Not sure what I'm going to do moving forward, just going to try to take some time off to ride a bit more and work on them less.... Thank You to all that have stayed behind me in loyalty over the years. I couldn't have done it with out you and it is and will always be grately appreciated. ....;-) Keep an eye on me.. I'll still be out there...;-)

Labor Day may be the sign of summer winding down, But doesn't mean the end of some great riding still ahead. Fall is a great time to ride as the season changes. I want to thank everyone for being patient with me and a great summer. We are getting caught up a bit and have a few openings for next week as well... If you are out riding this weekend Please Ride Safe....!!!! Have a Great Weekend....

The difference is in the service .!!!!!! Yes I still change all the fluids in your motor, primary and transmission every 5k mile interval, Yes I will still try to change Fork oil on most models every 10k miles, yes I do actually pull the brake master cylinders covers off to inspect your brake fluid rather than run a flash...light over the sight glass, Yes I check Rotor Bolts, Sprocket Bolts, Shock Bolts, Triple clamp Bolts, Motor mount Bolts and Brake Caliper Bolts for proper torque. Yes I will check for intake seal leaks, yes I will check for transmission shift shaft seal leaks , yes I will check for worn motor mounts , yes I will check for rear brake lines leaking for which certain years are infamous for wearing pin holes from the clutch cable wearing on them, Yes I will l**e and adjust your throttle and clutch cables, Yes I will try to find potential problems down the road... Its not how fast I can change your oil and call it a service..... Yes, you should quiz who ever is working on your Harley and quiz them on what they are actually doing on your services and what you are getting for your money..... NO, I may not be the cheapest and NO, I won't try to get a 4 hour job done in 2 hours to beat a flat rate and move on to the next one...... but I am extremely thorough...... Just Say'in Ride Safe !!!!

Looks like its time to pass the torch after 18 years in business...... Welcoming the Chappel Motorcycle shop in Taking over The business and moving on to a new adventure.... More techs and counter people take on the load and get your bikes out more efficiently. I will be staying on for few months and as an advisor in the future... Same Great Service and Honesty to keep you and your bike on the Road Safely... We won't cut corners to get your bike out quick rather than safe.....;-)
