Found primarily on Mercedes and BMW - it's a reinforced rubber disc between the transmission and driveshaft that absorbs drivetrain vibrations. Symptoms of failure include high-speed vibrations, clunking noises during acceleration or shifting, and visible rubber cracks or tears. Check these regularly and promptly replace to avoid severe drivetrain damage.
