The Man from Galilee
The song asks a question people have been asking for more than two thousand years: Who is this Man?
He walked the shores of Galilee. He touched lepers, opened blind eyes, calmed raging seas, and spoke words that changed lives. But Jesus was more than a teacher, more than a prophet, and certainly more than just a man.
When Jesus asked His disciples who they believed He was, Peter answered in Matthew 16:16 (NKJV), “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
That’s the Man from Galilee.
The song calls Him the Passover Lamb, the Great I AM, the Fourth Man in the fire, the Son of God, and the King of Kings. Different pictures, but they all point to the same Jesus.
And here’s what makes that important for us today: the Man from Galilee is still changing lives.
Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Whatever you’re facing today—addiction, loneliness, fear, guilt, or a situation where you can’t see a way out—Jesus hasn’t changed. The same Jesus who reached out His hand then is reaching out His hand today.
And John 8:36 (NKJV) tells us, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
So who is this Man from Galilee?
He is Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. He was more than just a man—and He still has the power to pick you up, turn your life around, and set your feet on solid ground.
