There’s a weird moment in every restoration or color change where you realize you’re looking at the car for the last time.
Not the last time you’ll see the car, but the last time you’ll see that version of it.
The chips, the scratches, the faded areas, the little imperfections the owner has stared at for years. They’ve become part of the car’s identity, whether you like them or not.
Then it rolls into the booth.
A few hours later, all of those things are gone forever.
What I love about paint work is that it can completely change the way a car feels without changing the car itself. Same chassis. Same engine. Same story. Just a new chapter.
This is always one of my favorite days on a build.
