1968 Ford Thunderbird Landau
"A flying machine, for those afraid of heights"

One of our partial restorations was this '68 T-bird. For a client that has owned the car for over 30 years, it needed a full tune up, color correction, some interior work, new tires, and upgrades to the steering and suspension. Its a neat car, rarely seen nowadays, especially with the optional "Gator Skin" Landau top. It's pretty optioned out with AC, Power front disc brakes and although not options the vacuum operated headlights, wrap around rear seat and the super cool sequential tail lights are the main highlights for us!

A big thanks to our local private airport for serving as the backdrop for the vanity shots!

We've finally put a cap on the partial restoration on this beautiful 1964 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass. You see tons of '64 Chevelles and '64 GTOs, a few '64 Buicks... you never see a '64 Olds. Much less a convertible. With a 330 Rocket engine and Powerglide trans, with the top down, it makes for a killer cruiser.

As with most project cars, it was a long strange trip in the best of ways. The "Cutty" ended up being a partial restoration, having done a full refinish job, some small electrical work and ignition modifications. The subtle "less is more" styling, and vibrant red interior, made the car an eye catcher for anyone visiting the shop. The car was a joy to drive, wrench on, and make beautiful.

While we are sad to see it go, knowing that the car is going to be driven and enjoyed regularly, makes seeing the taillights fade off a little more barrable.

"The '64 Cutlass (especially this one) Is Where The Action Is"!

Car scouting! This 1928 Ford Model A pick up was converted into a flatbed with a covered wooden box. The under pinnings are all standard model A with the original drivetrain with the frame unmodified. It’s been in the same family since new and has been a farm workhorse since day 1, and has been maintained ever since. Truly a utilitarian workhorse. Still in regular use to this date and no retirement planned in the future.

…..We will see you soon….

Progress on the ‘64 Olds Cutlass. After all the bodywork and metal work, a fresh coat of GM Ermine White was sprayed to make it look new. After some wet sanding and buffing, it’ll be ready for the summer!

Today was barn find day. An all original, two owner 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix 50th Anniversary Edition. One of approx 4,000. This is fully loaded with a 455, buckskin leather, A/C, and Hurst T-Tops.

This was sold as a companion model to the more popular black and gold anniversary Trans Am. All the 50th anniversary trim and original gold metallic paint is in tact with the very rare factory tach. The gold metallic paint over gold buckskin leather with a white landau top and color matched wheels really makes the car a knock out all shined up. We love the uniqueness.

This car will soon be for sale after a thorough detail and a tune up.

The shop has been one thing this past month….BUSY. First, the ‘64 Corvette now runs as it should after a few upgrades including a new carb, timing chain and an over all tune up. The Sun machine came in super handy for the fine tuning. The steering box and other small details are coming out beautifully for the ‘65 Bonneville Convertible, with the frame 95% ready for assembly. The ‘59 Cadillac Fleetwood has also seen its first round of color and clear. It laid down very well and it wears the black beautifully. Lastly, the 429 in our ‘64 Cadillac gave up the ghost after lasting a total of 181,000 miles. It’s now inline for a well deserved and hard earned rebuild. We’ve come so far on these cars, but still a long ways to go.

We can proudly say that our 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa is finally done. What a long strange trip it’s been. This was a car that I knew very little about mechanically and it was a great platform to learn on. The car came to us on a wrecker, not running, no brakes, no exhaust and lots of salt belt rust. We put two lower quarters on it, two front fender patch panels, rebuilt the carbs, put a performance exhaust on, and rebuilt the throttle linkage and shifter assembly. But now, the “Little Black Bandit” is a quick little cruiser that looks amazing after a complete refinishing color change from its original white, to Black. It is 100% one of the top most photogenic cars we’ve ever had.

Now I need to find one…
