-TREXLER’S WINDOW OF LIGHT-
Here’s another photograph from Tuesday morning’s boat excursion. After watching the sun rise over Becky’s Garden, we headed over toward Moultonborough and made a stop at Trexler’s Marina. I’ve photographed this lighthouse from land many times, but it was a completely different experience being out on the water and having the opportunity to capture it in such beautiful light. My original goal was to see if I could get a sunburst directly over the top of the lighthouse. As we got closer, though, I started wondering if we could line things up so the sun would appear through the lighthouse window. At first, I didn’t think it was going to happen. But as we moved closer, the sun suddenly came shining through and nearly blinded me! We kept moving forward and then backing up, trying to find that perfect alignment, and this ended up being the composition I liked best. I hope you enjoy!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Trexler. Betty loved the water, the marina, and most of all the customers she came in contact with over the years. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we also celebrate a life well lived over the past 93 years. "May the tides carry your spirit gently, and may your memory live on in every sunrise over the water."

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our captain of the ship, Scott Trexler, on Friday evening at his home. Scott moved to Moultonboro at the age of 7, when his parents, Betty and Dick Trexler, purchased Moultonboro Marine, later renamed Trexler’s Marina. For the past 54 years, Scott has devoted his life to the marina, beginning as a young boy fishing on the docks and gradually developing a passion for boating and sailing. His love for the water was evident to all, and he had a profound impact on the lives of many through their shared love of boating. He will be greatly missed by the entire crew at Trexler’s Marina, as well as his family, friends, customers, and business associates. Details regarding a wake and/or service will be forthcoming.
