For 6.7 Cummins owners who have not yet undertaken a grid heater delete, this may be a deciding factor. The grid heater bolt and nut can sustain damage due to prolonged heat cycles and relay sticking. Consequently, the nut and bolt may drop into the intake and enter the cylinder, causing engine damage. The Banks intake system offers improved airflow and repositions the intake heater with a coil-style design, thereby mitigating this risk. While inspecting the bolt/nut by hand it broke off with very little pressure. The customer was fortunate to have avoided major damage. Message us for pricing!
