I got my MRI results back today. Turns out I've got tears in two tendons in my right wrist, moderate inflammation around them and some mild wear and tear in the wrist bones. No broken bones or torn ligaments.

Doctor is referring me to an orthopedist.

One year later, I’m still asking how a 100% disabled United States Marine Corps veteran ended up with a Stage 4 pressure ulcer exposing bone inside a Mississippi state-run veterans home.

This was not “care.” This was neglect.
If this happened in someone’s home, they would call it elder abuse. But because it happened in a government-run facility, they count on silence.

And still, not a peep from Mississippi’s elected officials. They love veterans in speeches. They just get quiet when accountability is required.
