A little bit of a surprise to unwrap this and find the wood in such poor condition. It’s very saturated with water and has been dry stored for quite some time. A video in the comments will show why this base needed to be rebuilt and epoxy sealed. It’s like a bad Christmas when you open them up and find out that you’ve got a lot more work than expected.

Got the second amp Installed and all the power lines and speaker wires hooked up. Still have to clean up my RCA cords but waiting for final tune. I’m waiting for my brackets to show up that I paid for overnight AM delivery and they have failed to be delivered still. Been on the phone all day to be told that they will call me to meet the driver when they’re in route back to the depot. That’s $158 waste of money and should be getting a refund back for failure to deliver. Hopefully I will actually get them still today so I can finish this install and head back to KC tomorrow to get some more work done.

Day one 2016 378 Monterey stereo upgrade. All new wet sounds 6.5” coaxials, 2 rev 8 tower speakers still to be installed, new amp for tower speakers. Lots of wire run today ran extra speaker wires to the back for future upgrades. Hopefully will finish amp install and tower speakers install tomorrow and do a final tune.
