Update on the pond lowering: We have done all we can on brush/tree removal, the gate is closed, and as of 12/2/22 the level is already back up 4 ft. Significant work was done on the east side southern half, and on the west side in and above Jeff Lewis branch. Areas in the flat creek floodplain (all of the northern forks and most area over 12 ft below normal pool) were not accessible, as expected. They would not be accessible with farm equipment if completely drained as that is swamp bottom. Some steep banks also could not be worked safely. (Got majorly stuck twice!)

We rebuilt the support of the east fishing dock, making it much more substantial. Posts were left long for future roof, if needed.

I have marked the boat ramp at 10 ft. intervals up to 80 ft. so that you can see how far it is to the end of the concrete ramp as the water rises. Right now the level is about 2 vertical ft. below the concrete. I encourage everyone to try to come over and cruise around before full pool to see bottom structure in the 6-8 ft. depth range.
