NIADA was encouraged by President Trump’s recent remarks from the Oval Office highlighting the need for commonsense right-to-repair legislation. While the legislation approved by the House Energy and Commerce Committee on May 21 represents an important step forward, it does not fully address all of NIADA’s concerns.

We are hopeful that President Trump’s support for right-to-repair, combined with his influence within the House Republican Conference, will encourage lawmakers to restore key provisions from H.R. 1566, the Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair Act, and incorporate them into the Safety Title of the 2026 Surface Transportation Reauthorization legislation.

What an incredible week we had at the first-ever Southeast Independent Automobile Dealers Conference!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, sponsored, spoke, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. The energy, networking, education, and relationships built throughout the conference exceeded our expectations.

The best part? We’re already planning for next year! Exciting additions and new opportunities are already in the works, and we can’t wait to make the 2027 conference even bigger and better.

We could come up with all kinds of words that have already been said and make it eloquent and professional sounding–but how about we just say how absolutely amazing this man, Randy Jones, is.

The way he cares about our dealers, our vendors, and this association is unfounded.

His hard work and dedication leave no room for improvement.
