Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I wanted to make an announcement that the power in the pasture crew and Merica Motorworks will be at Diesels in the Mountains in Richfield Utah the weekend of Sept 11,th and 12th. Well, heres the weekend in a recap. We had 1150 admission wristbands sold, we had over 100 people who came with the vendors, we had 30 event and dyno/ sled staff, we had 49 enter the dyno, and we had over 200 kids. This put us between 1450 and 1500 people. THIS WAS HUGE!!!!.

We wanted to give a huge heartfelt thanks to all of our vendors, friends, event staff, the fairgrounds staff, and all of the people who attended Power In The Pasture 2026. The turnout was incredible, the events were amazing and we got to see some great trucks and meet some great people. We could not have put this event on without you. Thank you for bearing with us while we did our best to work through everything that came up. This was our first big event and we plan for many morem We learned alot and have some great ideas for the future. We know it was hot and there were some unexpected delays, but you stuck with us and that speaks volumes. We love the western slope, we love Montrose and we love the automotive community.

We have less than a week until Power In The pasture 2026. On August 1st, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds in Montrose, Colorado, The first and only event like this in the state and the rocky mountain region for that matter begins. We are featuring a Dyno competition with the dyno from Ultimate Callout Challenge, a sled pull with the sled from United Pullers out of Utah as well as a dirt drag event, show & shine, great food trucks and awesome vendors. There will be payouts for all classes of the sled pull, dirt drags and dyno as well as the VIP show & Shine. We expect to see some big numbers put up, some awesome trucks, and some great competition.

We have tailored the event for seasoned competitors and newbies alike so that you will be able to participate in all of the events regardless of your past competition experience or skill level. The skilled dyno, sled pull and dirt drag operators will help you get prepared and instruct you on how to run your truck in the different events. Never pulled a sled before? No problem! we have secured loaner hitches so that you don't miss out on the opportunity to drag the sled. Come be a part of the fun. The event starts at 7:30AM and runs until 10PM. Kids 12 and under are free.

This will be one for the books.

The other day, some of us were casually chatting about how cool it would be to see some out of the ordinary vehicles in the sled pull event, and how it was the "out of the ordinary" or "strange" vehicles that we remembered the most at the motorsports events that we had attended when we were younger. Well, one thing led to another so here we are. With the permission of United Pullers, we are extremely excited to formally announce our creation of a paid "Exhibition class" for the sled pull. If it has wheels, tracks, or rollers, and has the ability to hook to the sled, you are more than welcome to do it. The 1st place payout will be $300.00 and the second place will be $150.00

We want this event to be something that folks young and old remember for years to come and we hope that participation grows year after year.
