Everyone knows tires are made from rubber, 🤔 but where does that rubber come from?
The most common source of rubber comes from South American Rubber Trees, but that could be changing. 🆕
Since 2011, Continental Tire has been researching an alternative source for rubber production - dandelions! 🌼🌼

💡 Turning to the Russian Dandelion is believed to lead to more robust production closer to tire factories outside of the "Rubber Belt". The undemanding growing nature of these dandelions makes them suitable for mass production and the first test tires were even produced in Summer 2014. Continental plans to launch dandelion-rubber road tires for the public in the near future!
