This culture is killing our industry. It's fueling massive over-saturation with people who only care about a quick dollar, not the actual craft. When the focus shifts from paint correction mastery to "cash flexing," it destroys the integrity of the profession and makes honest, hardworking detailers look bad.

WHEN OTHER DETAILERS COPY YOUR POST USING AI

I put up a post from my business page a month or 2 ago in regards to carpet lines and how detailers were spending too much time. I joke about these things but what many detailers don't understand is that when you make these carpet lines and put your logo in a customers carpet. Over time it becomes almost permanent. You can try to remove it all you want down the road but it will still be faintly visible in the customers carpet.

However while i do respect everyone in this forum and it's ok to SHARE my content provided you give me credit. Out of respect for the rules, i had to remove my logo to avoid self promotion. One thing i hate is someone trying to replicate my content and post and trying to make it their own as if it was original.

The first photo is my original photo. The photo originally was taken in the back of an X5 trunk and i cleaned the carpet in one direction before taking the photo. I then used photoshop to place a mona lisa painting in the carpet area and i used the background remover tool to cut out that trunk handle and replace it by brining it in front of the mona lisa photo. I then made the photo black and white and then decreased the transparency and added a carpet texture to blend with the existing carpet fibers. Unfortunately you had this person try to use ai and couldn't get the s**t right and instead of coming out with mona lisa- Ai gave him Mickey rourke. All im saying is be original. Some of yall even steal other detailers paint correction before and after and then post it like you did the work. Yall can do better.

STOP STALLING ON CURVES

We see it all the time on detailing channels where someone does a paint correction but it is always showed on flat panels. Now before anybody tries to be a know it all- hear me out! I could easily switch the tool to a 3inch and call it a day but when it comes to concave panels you don't always have to swap out the tool.
Many beginners and some experienced fall short in these areas and switch to the 3inch and perform a move known as the barrell roll but you can achieve the same results just by adjusting your technique on the 5inch and doing a slight tilt. This tricks the polisher's balance and counteracts the stall by shifting the pressure point.
When a DA polisher stalls on a concave panel, it happens because the flat pad loses even contact with the curved surface. Tis creates uneven friction, and the machine's safety balance mechanism halts the free rotation of the pad. By slightly tilting the machine, i am deliberately concentrating the downward force onto a smaller pivot point. This allows the polisher's counterweight balance to keep spinning freely
THE MYTH #1: Many detailers think they need to press harder or switch to a smaller machine immediately.

MYTH #2: If the pad isn't spinniing, it isn't cutting or polishing at all

MYTH #3: You should turn the machine down to 1 or 2 on tight curves for safety.
