🏁 **"I just want my roof wrapped black."**
This is one of the most common requests we receive—and it's also one of the most misunderstood.
When most customers call asking for a **roof wrap**, what they actually mean is a **roof and pillar wrap**, like the vehicle shown here.
The roof itself is only one part of the visual effect. The gloss black pillars between the windows are what create that seamless "floating roof" appearance that many modern SUVs, crossovers, and trucks are known for.
Without wrapping the pillars, the roof can sometimes look unfinished or disconnected from the rest of the vehicle.
✅ Creates the popular floating roof look
✅ Adds contrast and a more premium appearance
✅ Gives the vehicle a sportier, custom look
✅ Much more cost-effective than paint
A gloss black roof and pillar wrap is one of the most dramatic changes you can make to a vehicle without altering its factory paint. It's clean, subtle, and looks like it could have come from the factory that way.
So if you're calling around for pricing, make sure to clarify exactly what you're looking for:
🔹 Roof only
🔹 Roof + pillars (pictured)
🔹 Roof + pillars + spoiler
The difference can affect both the appearance and the price of the project.
At Riot Customs, we take the time to ask the right questions so you get the look you're actually envisioning—not just the one you asked for.
**Sometimes the most important part of a vehicle wrap isn't the installation—it's making sure everyone is talking about the same thing before the first piece of vinyl is ever cut.**
