⚠️ NEW LOUISIANA LAW FOR BUSINESSES

Beginning August 1, 2026, Louisiana Act 751 (SB 254) prohibits retail businesses from charging customers an additional fee for using a debit card.

Businesses that currently charge debit card processing fees, convenience fees, or similar surcharges should review their payment practices before the law takes effect.

Key Facts:
✅ Effective August 1, 2026
✅ Applies to retail businesses
✅ Prohibits surcharges on debit card transactions
✅ Includes consumer protections and enforcement provisions

If your business accepts debit card payments, now is the time to review your point-of-sale system, payment processor settings, and fee practices to ensure compliance.

Honor and Remembrance 🇺🇸
This Memorial Day, the team at Alford’s Auto Collision pauses to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their courage and dedication.

In observance of the holiday, our shop will be closed on Monday, May 25th, so our team can spend time with their families and reflect on the true meaning of the day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.
