🛑 THIS is why we check your brake fluid during routine maintenance.
Brake fluid doesn’t last forever. DOT 4 fluid absorbs moisture over time, which can lead to corrosion, contamination and degraded braking performance. What looks like a small amount of moisture can become a serious safety issue.
Harley-Davidson recommends:
🔧 Check brake fluid moisture at every service interval or at least annually
🔧 Flush and replace DOT 4 brake fluid every 2 years
🔧 Replace it sooner if moisture content reaches 3% or higher
