A few pictures of a job we just completed: a 2017 Escalade that had a failed lifter roller. We performed a full DOD delete with a cam from Texas Speed, cleaned and flushed the engine, installed a new oil pump and timing chain set, and tuned the ECM to improve throttle response and torque curve.

We are presently working on two projects. One involves a 2017 Dodge Ram with the well-known 3.6 tick issue, which requires a camshaft replacement due to a failed rocker bearing. The other project is a 1995 Toyota Tacoma that needs a cylinder head replacement due to a blown head gasket. To schedule your vehicle for service, please call or text 404-210-0621. Although we did not achieve any speed records on this project, it is now complete, and we acquired valuable insights. The original 5.3 engine experienced a lifter collapse, leading to a severe misfire and potential damage. Instead of implementing a temporary solution to a known problem, we chose to remove it. However, this was not a simple task. Newer engine control modules are secured with a gateway, and the engine will not operate correctly if the ECM is expecting specific components that are no longer present. To summarize, we successfully unlocked the ECM and reprogrammed it to function as intended from the factory.
