Completely restored back to showroom condition. This is the bike that Harley Davidson sued Honda for (so the story goes) because the Rebel infringed on their design look and sound.
The Rebel 450 was only built during 1986 and 1987. The Candy Supreme Red color only during 1987.
Mechanically road ready, this bike comes with excellent tires, new chain, new maintenance free battery, cleaned and sealed gas tank, ultrasonically cleaned carburetors, front brake caliper completely rebuilt with new brake pads, rear brakes serviced, oil and oil filter changed and owners manual.

It’s been a while since my last post, mainly because of the pandemic and the changes of what I’m doing these days. Just about all the bikes that I restore now are based on customer requests. I resently restored a 1985 Black Honda Rebel CMX250 for a customer in Ohio who last year also ordered a 1987 Red Honda Rebel CMX450. I will post pics of these bikes below.
I’m currently working on another Red 450 for a gentleman who resides in Durham, NC.
The lure for these original Rebels still continues and if you’re interested as a collector or rider, I’ll find and restore one for you.
Seems Facebook will only allow one video per post so I’ll follow up with the Rebel 250 video.

Spring is coming and Covid is going (YES), and along with spring comes riding. Bikes are being readied, batteries getting charged and the itch to ride is upon us.
Fred’s Rebels is putting the final touches on his Honda Rebels for those who want to join in on the passion to ride. I offer affordable, trouble free rides that look and ride like new. If you’re looking for a Honda Rebel, either 250 or 450, I’ll have bikes available April 1st. The 250 is the choice of most training facilities because of their ease in handling and reliability, and with gas prices soaring, this is an idea time to consider one of these high miles-per-gallon alternatives.

I received a comment on a recent post that I thought I would share. It seems like we all are dealing with this virus in different ways. Mike Hartley thought I should show what Fred’s Rebels is working on to shift your focus from bad news to brighter days. Days that can be enjoyed outdoors, being with friends and family and/or riding the open road. So Mike, here’s what I’ve been working on that will be available when this virus subsides. The silver and black bikes are Rebel 450’s and the red is a 250.
