I had a person throw a tantrum and make threats on a phone call today, so I'd like to point something out. We may not be the right place for your specific needs. We will absolutely tell you that, up front, in a positive manner, and suggest other shops more suited to what you're looking for.
A week ago, a caller asked about programming an ECM in a late model GM Global A vehicle that he believed another shop had somehow damaged the calibration in using HP tuners. He wanted a used ECM reprogrammed. We declined, as we do not offer that type of work due to the security issues it causes. We suggested 2 reputable shops that could get him out of the situation. He chose to let the same shop put an ebay ECM in the vehicle, and you guessed it, it's in security lock down. He called back today to ask us to get involved once more, stating he feels the shop just has no idea what they're doing. We politely declined, because we don't do that kind of work, and now it would require getting in the middle of his dispute with the other shop.
This person has now threatened to spam us with negative reviews for not being willing to join his circus. We have never done business with this person, and certainly don't like being painted as the bad guy because we don't want to get involved with a problem that we can't resolve. We don't negotiate with terrorists. If your idea of doing business is to threaten someone with bad PR to get your way, then we are not the right place for you.
