2020 Subaru Forester Thermo Control Valve (TCV) Replacement
The Subaru Thermo Control Valve (TCV) is a common failure point on many 2019–2021 Subaru models, including the Forester, Outback, Legacy, and Crosstrek. These valves often fail due to a weak internal seal that allows engine coolant to leak into the plastic housing, damaging the electronic circuit board and triggering warning lights and drivability issues. Most failures occur between 50,000 and 80,000 miles.
At Waldman’s Subaru, we have the experience, specialized tools, and expertise to accurately diagnose and replace failed Thermo Control Valves. If your Subaru has a check engine light, overheating concerns, or a suspected TCV issue, we’re here to help get you back on the road with confidence.
