As the Co-founders and organizers of 2nd Thursday Moto Nite at BauHaus, we would like to acknowledge a disturbing situation that was brought to our attention last night. Apparently a motorcycle adorned with hate and N**i symbolism was in attendance at our event. We want to make it very clear that BauHaus and The Moto Collective do not tolerate Racism, Bigotry, homophobia, xenophobia, sexism, or any other ill natured or archaic ideologies. Unfortunately we have dealt with this before at Moto Nite and our stance is ZERO tolerance. When we see it, we deal with it directly. Unfortunately with the size of the event it is hard to scan every vehicle, patch, sticker or individual. We do our best but please be patient as we combat this problem. As a result Bauhaus has and we have decided to add a full security staff to help us monitor the sizable crowd. We ask for your help as part of our community to help keep our event safe, fun and full of equity for all. If you see ill natured hate symbols, or problematic behavior please let security, Bauhaus staff, or us at the Moto Collective know. It is our responsibility to make sure all present our safe and welcome. Those that do not share that mindset are not welcome and will be asked to leave. It's that simple! We have worked very hard as a community to grow this event and we will not allow bigoted individuals to take that away from us. We meet monthly with Bauhaus to discuss each event and we will for sure be discussing the issue of hate symbolism again to better w**d out these unwanted individuals at our event. We would also like to let it be known that the Dj, vendors and groups involved are there to work as part of the community. They do not condone people who show up adorned with hate symbols. They are there to share their craft, products, business etc with our shared community. Please feel free to comment, or private message us with ideas, concerns and things that we can do together as a community to keep our event fun and good natured going forward.
We resprect the moto community, we love Bauhaus, we love this event and we stand in solidarity against Hate. Thank You for making us aware and thank you for supporting Moto Nite.
With respect and sincerity.
