Northern Star Mustang Club

Northern Star Mustang Club Minnesota's Largest Mustang Club and Mustang Club of America affiliate. Hello fellow Mustang enthusiasts! These two clubs have since grown to over 350 members.

The NSMC combines the Southwest Metro Mustang Club and the Upper Midwest Region of the Shelby American Auto Club in 2021. The SWMMC was started in 2012, and the UMRSAAC was created in 1981. Our members range from central MN to western WI. We are the Twin Cities chartered Mustang Club of America chapter, as busy and active as any Minnesota car club! Club members own old Mustangs, new Mustangs, fast

Mustangs, unrestored Mustangs, daily drivers, and a few trailer queens. Also, some own other types of vehicles. One primary goal of the club is to donate to local charities. So far, we have given over $55,000 to charity. We are currently partnered with the Automotive Technology program at Prior Lake High School to advance the automotive hobby with the next generation of young people. Check out our website for more information and an up-to-date event schedule. www.northernstarmustangclub.com

What a beautiful day for a car cruise! Sooo that is exactly what we did. Breakfast at Ze’s Diner in Eagan and a quick drivers meeting and off we went! We cruised down to Millville and had lunch at Whiskey Dick’s. We had fun with a game of bingo and a 50/50 drawing. After another curvy drive we ended up at Four Daughters Winery in Spring Valley. Oh, and another 2 games of bingo. What a great end to our day. The club has really stepped up with the fun car cruises. We have a great group of people making these arrangements and choosing some fun destinations. Thanks to Phil and Shad for all the fun today! Another great car cruise by the Northern Star Mustang Club!

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a Cruise, Blues and BBQ at the Chateau St Croix Winery, Brewery and Bistro in WI. A group of use spent the afternoon at the winery socializing, listening to a great blues ensemble, eating and sampling the wine(awesome sangria slushies) and craft beer while attending a car show. Nyle showed up with his Prowler and Lenny and Roxie were there too. On the way home we stopped for more food at the Rock Creek Cafe! Great day!

Our latest road trip was this past weekend to Devils Lake, ND to attend the Devils Run Car Show. On Thursday, 14 NSMC members in 9 Mustangs and a Ford Ranger journeyed North with a couple of rest stops and lunch along the way. Saturday morning we cruised to Spirit Lake Casino for “The Big Show” and events throughout the day. We all participated in a Poker Run where the best 6 poker hands won a cash prize. Kevan (2nd place) and Andrea (6th place) celebrated their win! A free steak lunch was provided at the casino and we met Stan and Sharon Orness - the show coordinator for the last 34 years! After lunch we cruised to the small town of Sheyenne (population 300) where we had each of our cars photographed in front of the renovated Sinclair Gas Station. We enjoyed a free walking taco and beverage at the local bar- there’s only 1 in town! We then drive the ponies to “The Ranch Restaurant” for a very nice dinner. Then back to the hotel to recoup for Saturdays activities. Since the cars experienced an encounter with a Mayfly hatch off Devils Lake on Friday- detailing and polishing were in order early Sat morning before the Car Parade thru town. We saw some interesting vehicles and the parade route was loaded with people and kids from miles around. It was more than we expected and we ran out of candy to throw out in the first 1/4 mile. All the parade cars then ended up at Roosevelt Park for car viewing, a free lunch and some shopping at the crafts for women and man cave booths. Some gathered in the park on their lawn chairs for relaxing and socializing while a few others went to a car and memorabilia auction. Everyone then met up at the Black Paws Brewery for a beverage and some food. We met “Norm” the resident Newfoundland hence the name of the brewery. Then back to the hotel parking lot for more socializing and some card playing indoors. One club member decided she wanted to learn how to do a burnout with her car. You’ll have to watch the video to see who it was. That brings us to today -Sunday. People headed home as their schedules permitted. Some of us on the way home stopped in Kevan’s hometown of Jamestown, ND where we went to visit the “Worlds Largest Buffalo”. Also the church that Kevan’s grandfather attended. A stop for lunch in Fargo and then off to home. What a great weekend with our cars and our friends and LOTS of laughs.
