Hawkins Automotive Inc. is looking for a full time (or possible part time) Automotive Technician.
We are a well established shop that has been here since 1946. We are open Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30 and Friday from 7:30-4:30. No weekends or Holidays.
Work can range from oil changes and tires to heavy line engine and transmission work, brakes, suspension, maintenance, diagnostic, and any other mechanical work needed. Tools are supplied by technician. Our shop does have some specialty tools that are shared between techs. There are 10 service bays where each tech has 2 bays with a hoist to work in. Techs are required to keep a clean work area and finish cars in a professional and timely manner.
Technical training is preferred but not required if there is sufficient work experience. Some on the job training would be offered, but a good base knowledge is preferred.
We pay on a hourly plus commission type payroll, so wages are negotiable and depend on qualifications and productivity. We do offer 401k (with a match after 1 year of service), paid vacation, and some optional benefits available through Colonial Life.
We have a great team with lots of experience that is great to work with. We have a “family” lunch together every Friday.
