🤔 Finance Manager vs Business Manager?

A customer asked me recently:

"So... are you a Finance Manager or a Business Manager?"

My answer?

👉 Both.

But there is a difference in how people view the roles.

👔 Finance Manager

Most people think:

💰 Interest Rates
💰 Loan Terms
💰 Bank Approvals
💰 Paperwork

Basically...

"The person who gets the deal financed."

And that's not wrong.

🌴 Business Manager

The Business Manager side focuses on:

🛡️ Ownership Experience
🛡️ Protection Planning
🛡️ Future Repair Costs
🛡️ Helping customers make informed decisions

Basically...

"The person helping you own the vehicle."

🎯 The Truth?

The best professionals do BOTH.

The Finance Manager gets you approved.

The Business Manager helps you understand what happens AFTER you drive away.

My Goal

Whether I'm wearing the vest...

👔 Finance Manager

Or the Hawaiian shirt...

🌴 Business Manager

The mission stays the same:

✅ Real Answers
✅ Real Solutions
✅ No Pressure
✅ People First, Always

Because the best deals aren't just financed correctly...

They're owned confidently.

🛡️LIBERTY 4 LIFE
Included on qualifying vehicles

Lifetime Powertrain Protection
At No Additional Cost

See dealer for complete program terms and eligibility requirements.

One of the questions I hear all the time is:

"What happens after my factory warranty expires?"

That's where Liberty 4 Life comes in.

With qualifying vehicles, Liberty Ford of Aurora includes a Lifetime Complimentary Powertrain Service Program at no additional cost to the customer.

What does that mean?

If you maintain eligibility under the program guidelines, Liberty 4 Life helps provide protection for major powertrain components including:

✅ Engine
✅ Transmission / Transaxle / Transfer Case
✅ Drive Axle Components

Why customers like it

✔️ Added peace of mind
✔️ No deductible (per program terms)
✔️ No trip charge (per program terms)
✔️ Included with qualifying vehicle purchases

The most important thing to know

This program is designed to help you keep driving with confidence long after you leave the dealership.

As with any protection program, coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, maintenance requirements, and exclusions outlined in the agreement.

That's why I always encourage customers to ask questions and understand exactly how the program works.

If you're shopping for a vehicle and want to learn more about Liberty 4 Life, I'd be happy to walk you through it.

No pressure. Just real answers.

ARE ALL SERVICE CONTRACTS THE SAME?

Short answer? Absolutely not.

This is where many people get caught off guard. Most hear: “It has a warranty,” and assume all coverages work the same. However, there are significant differences in:

- What’s actually covered
- What’s excluded
- Deductibles
- Claim limits
- Repair locations
- Rental coverage
- Labor rates
- Electronics & technology coverage

Some plans are designed to protect you, while others may sound good on paper.

For example, two vehicles can have a “service contract,” but one might cover:

- Advanced electronics
- High-tech components
- Seals & gaskets
- Rental
- Roadside assistance

While another might only cover basic internally lubricated parts. That’s not the same thing.

Today’s vehicles are complex. One screen, sensor, or module can cost more than expected. Therefore, it’s crucial to ask not just, “Do I have coverage?” but “WHAT coverage do I actually have?”

The cheapest option upfront isn’t always the cheapest experience later. The real “catch” is when no one explains it.

Really proud of the team we’re building at Liberty Ford of Aurora.

Sales. Finance. Service. Management.

Even being down a couple people on the sales staff, the team continues to push, grow, and show up every day. Late nights. Early mornings. Constant effort. Doing it right.

When everyone works toward the same goal, customers feel the difference.

Excited for what’s ahead.

🚗 “I’m not a Ford guy.”

Honestly?

That’s completely okay.

One thing I’ve learned in this business is this:

Most people aren’t loyal to a logo…
they’re loyal to a GOOD EXPERIENCE.

The right vehicle depends on:
✔ Your needs
✔ Your budget
✔ Your lifestyle
✔ Your goals

My job isn’t to convince someone to love a certain badge.

It’s to:
👉 Listen
👉 Help
👉 Educate
👉 Make the process easier

Because whether someone drives a Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Honda, or anything else…

People remember HOW they were treated.

That part matters more than the emblem on the grille.

🚗 Aaron Explains: “I’ve heard leasing is a nightmare…”

I hear this ALL the time in my office 👇

“I’ve never leased before… and honestly, I’ve only heard horror stories.”

And truthfully?
Most lease nightmares happen because nobody actually explained how leasing works.

Here’s the simple version 👇

When you lease, you’re mainly paying for the portion of the vehicle you USE — not the entire vehicle.

That’s why lease payments can sometimes be lower than traditional financing.

🛠️ Leasing can be GREAT for people who:
✔ Like driving newer vehicles
✔ Want lower monthly payments
✔ Drive average miles
✔ Like staying under factory warranty

⚠️ Where people get into trouble:
❌ Driving way over mileage
❌ Excess wear and tear
❌ Not understanding lease-end options

That’s why the process matters.

My job isn’t to push people into leasing or buying.

👉 It’s to help figure out which option actually fits YOUR lifestyle.

Because leasing isn’t bad.
Buying isn’t bad.

They’re just different tools for different situations.

Have you ever leased before?

👇 Good experience or horror story?

Why does the McDonald’s theme make me want to follow up with customers? 😄

Hear me out…

Every time that jingle comes on, I don’t think about food first…

👉 I think about reaching out to someone I just helped.

Sounds weird… but there’s a reason.

McDonald’s doesn’t just sell burgers.

They built something way bigger:

✔️ Familiar
✔️ Consistent
✔️ Easy
✔️ You know exactly what you’re getting

So when you hear that sound…

Your brain goes:

“Hey… that was good last time. Let’s do that again.”

That’s exactly what a good customer experience should feel like.

Not pushy.
Not random.
Not “only when I need something.”

Just consistent.

In my world, that looks like:

👉 Checking in after the sale
👉 Making sure everything still makes sense
👉 Being available after the paperwork is done

Because the deal isn’t the finish line…

It’s the start of the relationship.

So yeah…

If you ever get a random message from me checking in…

You can blame McDonald’s 😄

And the only real “catch”…

…is when no one explains it.

You've likely experienced a situation at your salesperson's desk where they ask, “What payment are you trying to stay around?” While the question itself isn't problematic, the intent behind it can make all the difference.

There are two paths this conversation can take:

❌ The Spinner

- Asks questions to control the outcome

- Builds only one option

- Provides just enough information to secure a yes

👉 You leave feeling: “Why does this feel off?”

✅ Aaron

- Asks questions to understand what truly matters

- Builds options tailored to you

- Clearly explains how everything works

👉 You leave feeling: “That actually made sense.”

The issue isn't discovery; it's hidden intention. When I engage with someone, my goal isn't to “land” you somewhere. Instead, I aim to:

✔ Make it make sense

✔ Present your options

✔ Empower you to decide what fits best

That’s how you don’t just build a deal; you build trust.

Anyone can ask questions... but do they use the answers honestly?
