Thank you for your patience regarding the Blue Ribbon Beer Run, 2017. After great deliberation, we regret to inform you that, after 4 successful years, we will not be hosting a 5th Beer Run. The Pabst Brewery District has grown exponentially during our four year tenure and we couldn’t be happier for the area. Subsequent to careful thought and consideration we do not feel we would have the adequate space to host the quality show that you deserve, within the growing district.
It has been our greatest pleasure to complete the mission statement we set out to accomplish 5 years ago; to showcase Milwaukee’s great history and bring together incredible examples of Traditional and Kustom Hot Rods from 1964 and earlier. Plus, with your help, our 501c(3) was able to raise $30,404 for the National MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter.
We would like to thank the area businesses, participants and sponsors for welcoming and supporting us. Firstly, we would like to thank the businesses in the neighborhood who not only welcomed us but also sponsored the event. A great thank you to Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery, Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub: Downtown, The Brewhouse Inn & Suites, Gorman & Company Inc. and Interstate Parking - Westown. Thank you to The Brewery LLC and Dan McCarthy, Blue Ribbon Lofts, Frederick Lofts and Eleven25 At Pabst for the support.
A great thank you to all of our Sponsors, whose donations helped us tremendously: Pabst Blue Ribbon and Matt Sievers, Streetworks Hot Rods and Matt Backhaus, Pro-Seal Asphalt Paving & Concrete, Inc. and Michael Prellwitz, Delicious Dolls Magazine, Nite Owl Ice Cream Parlour & Sandwich Shoppe and Chris Roepke, Pieper Electric, Inc., Meyer’s Country Pig Roasting and Matt and Sally Kuhagen Nuetzel, WristbandExpress, Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio Capt. Bob, Arlo, Pug and Ritchie, Trawicki Electric, Homeward Bound Tattoo, Marsh Automotive, Sockdollager Photography, Lucky Joe's Tiki, Full Throttle Ink, Gruber Law Offices, Butters-Fetting, Knights of Columbus South Milwaukee #1709, Ben's Vee Dub Shop LLC, Bomber Betty Custom Cosmetics, Pilgrim’s LLC and the Boy Scouts of America.
A special thank you to all who have helped with our designs over the years; Gary Kaze, Kayla Koeune, Jill E. Bean, Christopher Fisher, Jacob Adam Eernisse and Jay Crapser.
A heartfelt thanks to the Bands, the great MC’s DJ Howlin’ Jay and Jon Adler, the Photographers, all the Car Clubs that have made the run from 7 states, the show Coordinators and Volunteers, the Blue Ribbon Bombshells, Willow Homestead, the Vendors and the Spectators; you made this show so very special.
A very special shout out to the Wisco Maniacs and the TroubleShooters CarClub. Your members stepped up when it was needed most and we can’t thank you enough.
We will stay true to our namesake and if we happen to “run” in the future we will be sure to let you know! Until then please know how much we appreciated the ride, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity made possible because of you. You made this show a success and a legacy. It’s been real.
