It’s been a while since gave an update or shared what’s happened, and what’s to come.
As you all know I am a firm believer in honesty and transparency, normally I would post frequent updated information when it happened. However this situation with the shop it had to be handled delicately and quite with the lawyers involved in my situation.
Big positive is here is that I’ve reacquired my tools and equipment along with access to returning finished customer vehicles. (I’m officially moved out)
This whole process has been not only extremely unlawful from the start, but it’s been devastating to not only myself but my staff and customers. It has been extremely damaging to my mental health as well.
This big jump manifested from working at home in a driveway for 8 years to expanding and moving into a ample space big enough for 3-5 people working together helping our communities, family and friends with automotive needs started off so promising. Unfortunately the place I chose along with the more unfortunate landlord made that vision extremely challenging and almost impossible.
I lasted a year where I was with countless days and hours lost or postponed due to poor functioning conditions no one could endure healthy or with a stable productive environment.
As much as it was a challenge and then a quick disappointment, I still pushed forward and hired some guys that were like minded the same.
We powered through a lot of challenges and experienced absolute archaic conditions. In the end not only myself but everyone supporting or present working with me got screwed over and put in a really bad situation that I had to face on my own.
My entire livelihood of tools I purchased and put together over the last 19 years until he industry, along with all of vehicles and equipment in my shop were withheld from me unlawfully and without warning.
Extremely false claims and blatant manipulation to seize all the assets I had in my space were withheld from me illegally and in turn took me over a month to reclaim.
I worked so hard up to this point with a constant hope and expectation that I was destined to succeed with this vision.
Unfortunately I didn’t see past that and slowly got cornered into a bad deal.
Now that I’m past this, I’m here to openly explain and expressing my struggles and the failure I endured. As much as I don’t want to admit it, it did happen and I didn’t see or prevent it and now I learned.
There were only a few people caught in the crossfire with this. My mechanics working from me and the customer cars that were locked out from me to return and some that were lined up to be worked on during the time locked out.
Obviously that wasn’t anything I expected or intended on but unfortunately that happened.
Everyone got their property back but it was a mess and unclear at the time how long it would take to get everything back.
Thankfully I acted with some guidance from fellow business owners and found a path with a solid solution to the problem and we all walked away from this.
With that being said, I’m absolutely moving forward and now doing business at home or mobile til I can regroup and build a plan to make a better business move.
Anyone done wrong by this situation please contact me I need to know! I will make every effort I can to make it right with you.
As for plans to getting another shop, I will not disappoint and aim to be established within the next month.
Yes this escalated to the mess it was, but I held my ground and now have the opportunity to move forward without ever letting anything like this happen again to myself or especially the people who have entrusted me.
Thank you all for your support and patience through this difficult time. I am back and looking forward to a new chapter. I hope to be able to provide what I can offer to any and all that are in need.
