Huge thanks to our customers and fellow racers, big order going out today for a few race bikes! Two Superbike spec Ninja 400's and an all-out Ninja 500 with a joint developed overbore kit installed, all of which will be club racing this season and gridded up for RoC in Daytona!

Unfortunately, this means that these industry leading overbored throttle bodies are now out of stock until next production run is completed. Please do not hesitate to reach out for updates.

Over the last couple of years, we have been quietly supporting customers and racers here with all current products. What began as a hobby has now become a full-time profession, contributing at the OE level with a major motorcycle manufacturer to continue to push the boundaries of performance.

A little something different today, helped a friend out with his F20B swapped civic. After some issues shaking his confidence with his previous tuner, we decided to work together. The base map received was wicked rich, yet lean in the wrong places and the vtech transition point did not make any sense. First, some hardware issues needed to be addressed along with reconfiguring his wideband to operate properly. It turned out to be a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing after I'd built for him a proper target AFR map and we spent some time reshaping the fuel maps. Implemented a lean cruise region as well so he could enjoy peak efficiency while commuting without sacrificing peak power. I wish modern motorcycles were as simple to tune as these cars!

Can confirm that like the 400 platform, the 500 also needs a little help in the clutch department with power adders and proper tuning to match 🙃 Despite Kawasaki fitting the 500 with the "heavy duty" clutch from the ZX-4, it still didn't take long the clutch to start loosing its grip as I work on derestricting the bike with my ECU flash development. Yes, all clutches currently listed for the ZX-4 will fit the 500! And a handy trick we have been using on our racing 400's successfully also works here on the new 500 for the more cost conscious. Kawasaki ZX-6 springs (part number 92145-0937) fit both the ninja 400 and 500 and give the clutch extra grip needed to hold onto this extra torque we're kicking out here!

Springs pictured from left to right are: ZX-6, stock 400, stock 500, and Barnett 500 HD springs, in that order. The ZX-6 spring is longest and is built with the thickest wire. Whereas the Barnett is of the same wire thickness of OEM and slightly longer. The 500 clutch spring is the same as the 400 clutch spring but with a slight bump in wire diameter.

I think it's about time to announce the latest project bike here at ZCS Tuned, the new Ninja 500! Planning a full spread on this machine, starting with the basics. Initial results are very promising - huge gains!

It was a HOT one on the dyno on Wednesday (8/23) with the new ZX-4RR - Record breaking! Unfortunately that meant no records were broken on the rollers, with a temperature in the cell of well beyond 90 degrees and a heat index topping out at 114, we certainly tried to make the best of it! The peak numbers were not what we were hoping for. But we were able to run through all iterations, confirm some final tweaks, and throw some exciting shapes up on the screen that we'll be announcing along with a product release shortly!

We highly recommend the incredibly capable team at Revolution Performance and can't thank them enough for letting us sneak on for the day - though they typically do not work with anything like the ZX-4, they were very professional and undoubtedly leaders in their craft! (Just take a look at their King of the Baggers grid presence)
