To say I am PUMPED is an understatement. My exhaust is nearing completion and I cannot believe how we all came together to make this happen. Huge props to Sam (as always) he had so many good ideas throughout the process including making 3D printed sections of tubing to figure out all the angles. MASSIVE THANKS to Jon Oster for letting us take over his garage and Cody Gray for welding all these pieces from numerous manufacturers and filling in some large gaps where the cuts weren’t perfect. This was my first time completing a fabrication project like this and Im super happy. It isn’t perfect, but it was made entirely out of my garage with all my friends. I told them all that I felt like a make a wish kid because of all the help I got making this thing. Now the custom midpipe and downpipe bolt up to my Revel USA catback exhaust. All thats left is the wastegate recirc setup which I will hopefully share pics of soon enough.

So pumped that the engine is back in the car!

Since I was running cables from the back of the car to the front (for dual fuel pumps), I decided to do some related work.

I chose the Sony XAV-AX1000 because it fits nicely in the dash panel. It’s an older unit without rear USB, so I added rear usb by dissecting a USB-A extension and soldering it to the pins for the front USB port. This wasn’t a project I anticipated taking on, but now I can have wireless CarPlay and a backup cam to modernize the car.

Also got to use a cool adjustable voltage regular that works with a tool battery to power it up on the bench and test all my connections.

Huuuuuge shoutout to Sam for designing and printing this MAP sensor mount. It looks pretty basic, but there was a considerable amount of design work to make the hardware fit nicely. This tucks the sensor on the inside and should give it a clean look. The guy even the darn thing. What a steller feller!

We’re absolutely loving this part of the build and nerding out as we install all the parts.

Getting closer and closer to actually having an assembled engine!
