is under the paint. Here at TLC Restorations, we research to the greatest detail to ensure that every nut and bolt is correct. That means even in the places you can’t see. We route every wire exactly like the factory, every clip is in place, every spot weld placed correctly and every seam is sealed. At first glance, this 1966 Chevelle Malibu checks all the boxes.

✅ Correct date-coded 327

And under the hood? It looks exactly like an original 350 HP L79.

🌭 Teamwork, Meatballs... and plenty of Hot Dogs! 🌭

Before we all headed out for the Memorial Day weekend, the team gathered for an epic company potluck to kick off the unofficial start of summer! ☀️

Let’s just say, nobody went home hungry. Our spread was absolutely locked and loaded, featuring:

🔥 Perfectly grilled hot dogs

🧆 Savory, slow-cooked meatballs

🥔 A mountain of chips, dips, and every side dish you could imagine

We love taking a little time to pause, swap stories, and enjoy great food together. A massive thank you to everyone on the team who brought in a dish and made it such a fun afternoon!

Hey everyone! As the summer heat rolls in, we’re switching things up to make sure we’re here when you need us most (and letting our hard-working crew catch a little extra weekend sunshine)

Starting this week, our new summer hours will be:

📅 Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📅 Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)

What started as a simple paint job turned into something much bigger.

When this 1971 Chevelle arrived at our shop, the plan was straightforward. But as the project progressed, it became clear this car deserved a complete frame-off restoration.

Now it's back on the road with a completely new look, modern performance, and a level of detail that matches the owner's vision.

Not everyone agrees on Grabber Green… but wait until you see this one finished 👀

This 1970 Mach 1 Mustang was just painted a few days ago, and now it’s time for one of the most satisfying steps in the process.

We’re carefully de-nibbing the fresh paint before final polish, while also giving the paint enough time to properly cure before the black stripes go on.

This thing is going to be an absolute head turner when it’s finished.

A lot of people ask why we paint cars with the doors already fitted on the body.

Simple answer: once the gaps are right, we don’t want to risk chipping or scratching fresh paint trying to reassemble the car.

Less assembly after paint = less chance for damage.

There’s more than one way to do restoration work, but this is the process that works best for us. What do you think — doors on or doors off? ⬇️

Most people would never notice this modification…

The factory bumper gap on this 1969 Corvette was much larger than the owner wanted, so we cut, narrowed, fabricated, and reshaped the bumper to pull it tighter to the body while keeping the gap even all the way across.

Subtle changes like this are what make a car unique to each build.

“Restored.”

At first glance, this 1970 Chevelle looked incredible.

But once you open the hood, the details tell a different story.

Loose relays. Cheap connectors. Wiring everywhere. Old A/C components cluttering the engine bay.
This is the kind of stuff most people never notice… until they own the car.

We’re cleaning this one up the right way with hidden wiring, cleaner routing, improved serviceability, and a much more refined engine bay.

This 1956 Chevy Bel Air just rolled out of upholstery… and it’s one of those builds you have to see to believe.

From a full body and paint restoration to a completely custom interior, courtesy of Dave Bennett, every inch of this car has been touched. The color combo is something you don’t see every day—and neither is the level of detail inside.

Power seats, custom stitching, and a rear setup that looks like buckets but was completely re-engineered for comfort and style. Then you pop the hood… and it’s not what most people expect.

It’s an LS dressed up to look like an old-school 409—built with correct-style valve covers, air cleaner, and all the details to keep that classic feel with the modern reliability.

This is the kind of build that starts conversations everywhere it goes.
