We’ve seen the recent posts being made about our business, and rather than stay silent, we want to address them directly.
StripMasters Inc. does not engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices. Our customers receive detailed, documented invoices regularly—typically weekly—so they can review all work and charges before payment is ever made. We actively encourage questions at that time so any concerns can be addressed immediately, not after the fact.
We provide written estimates for all new customer jobs and, for ongoing work, maintain regular communication and obtain approvals throughout the process before proceeding. All labor is supported by employee time records, and any work requiring correction is redone at no charge and properly documented.
Classic vehicle restoration is a complex and costly process. It is widely understood that the total investment often exceeds the vehicle’s market value. We are transparent about this from the beginning so customers can make informed decisions.
We stand behind the quality of our work. A previous vehicle we completed for the individual making these claims was finished to a level that it was presented at a Barrett-Jackson auto auction.
Like many shops, we have used subcontractors in the past. However, we hold anyone working under our name to strict standards. If proper documentation, receipts, or warranty support cannot be provided, we discontinue those relationships. In this situation, a former subcontractor whose relationship with us was ended under those standards is now participating in the online commentary.
Our pricing, including parts markup, is consistent with industry standards and reflects the time and responsibility involved in sourcing, verifying, and managing parts correctly. We also want to be clear that we do not apply excessive markups as has been suggested, and our pricing practices are supported by our records and documentation.
We are a veteran-owned business and take pride in operating with transparency, accountability, and professionalism. While not every situation is without challenge, we address issues directly and work toward fair resolutions.
