Unmolested TZ250 in fairly original condition. Looks to have been raced once or twice and then stood up. I can't remember the last time we've seen one, with ALL the original Yamaha warning stickers and zip ties still in place. These are race only, factory supplied 'customer bikes' that Yamaha sold directly to racers and teams. Not street legal. 1979 Suzuki GS1000S in the rare euro red and white, done for our friend Phil in Ohio. There is no record of exactly how many Suzuki made in this color but they all landed in Italy for some reason. All the US bikes were blue and white, which is weird because, they are a 'Wes Cooley tribute' Honoring Suzuki's first AMA Superbike Championship in 1979 and his Yoshimura bike was red. Wes Cooley backed it up again in 1980. He won it, lost it and won it back that December, crazy but that's one you have to read about. Kenny Robert August 23, 1975  Indy mile, post race quote after starting last and finishing first, aboard the Yamaha TZ 750. Kenny described the bike as “really, really dangerous”
Due to its uncontrollable power, overwhelming speeds and the safety concerns it raised. AMA pro racing banned the bike shortly after the race.
