More progress on the Dodge Airflow project. PS door is getting close basically just need to put the door top cladding on the wood frame, turn all the hem edges, weld the top and bottom halves and spot welds in window opening , epoxy prime the inside and its ready to go on for the final time and be hemmed on. So much work has gone into this one door so far. Hoping the DS goes much faster as we made parts for both doors at the same time and learned a lot on this door.

Using the MH-37HD power hammer with radial stretch tooling to add the low crown compound shape in another 33/34 5w roof insert. I like to grid my panel out, then hammer working from the center grid out toward the edge ( while not hammering the edge itself). This allows you grow the shape much faster as you are hammering the center ares already worked, exponentially more as you work the grid pattern out. The panel needs more shape at the apex of the crown than near the edges. This process makes it the most efficient and easily repeatable with predicable time frames and energy use.

Smoothing out some areas that need attention before welding the front of the quarter to the rear of the quarter. Much easier to do on the bench than on the car.

Always trying to learn new things and help in making my products better. So I invested in a CO2 laser to help with some of the engraving on tools and parts. Here I am engraving a fresh batch of Tipping Forks with the size designation, using marking spray and an engraving jig.
