your Challenger
Or your cousin’s uncle’s neighbor’s modified lawnmower with a supercharger bolted to it.
The Ford Mustang wins…..Hands down…End of discussion.
Since 1964 every generation has had one thing in common…..some guy named Kyle revving it at a red light like he’s the next Kyle Busch (R.I.P. King) while driving to a job that pays him in expired pizza coupons….most likely in Mobile Alabama….
And that’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL…..
The Corvette is America’s sports car…..Please. Half the owners spend more time polishing it than driving it. A Corvette owner sees a rain cloud and immediately files an insurance claim and I’m not even kidding…..how many corvettes do you actually see being driven on the road???
A Camaro owner is still trying to find the front windshield…..but thats Chevy for you…..and now they no longer have any non sports car sedans in their lineup anymore.
A Challenger owner burns more fuel idling in a drive thru than a small nation uses in a fiscal quarter. And trust me the Challenger is 2nd in. Y heart because my father had 1960’s style challenger, candy apple red with a black rag top convertible with black leather seats that use to burn my legs when wearing shorts in the summer…absolutely beautiful…..but I digest….
Meanwhile the Mustang has been carrying American car culture on its back for decades. Cheap enough for regular people. Fast enough to get you into trouble. Loud enough to wake up three neighborhoods and an ancestor.
People always bring up the crowd jokes.
The Mustang is freedom….horsepower….questionable financial decisions……and bald rear tires wrapped into one glorious American package.
If aliens landed tomorrow and lately the way the news has been lately about aliens….theres a good possibility it could happen…..and asked us what America was…..I wouldn’t show them the Constitution.
I’d start a V8 Mustang and let them figure it out.
