🎄 Celebrating National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day! 🎄

Last week, the Corteco North America team came together for our annual Holiday Luncheon—and it was nothing short of festive! From delicious food to plenty of laughter, the highlight was definitely our Ugly Sweater Contest.

📣 Community Collaboration in Action!

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting members of the Huron County Business Advisory Council at our Corteco North America facility in Milan, Ohio. This incredible group—made up of local business leaders and school administrators—came together to explore how schools and businesses can better collaborate to prepare students for successful futures.

We shared a presentation about who we are, what we do, and gave a guided tour of our facility. It was a great opportunity to showcase our work and discuss how industry and education can partner to build a stronger workforce pipeline right here in our backyard!

At the heart of the Freudenberg Group are our Guiding Principles—and today, we celebrate Responsibility through our ongoing commitment to sustainability and recycling.

At our Milan, Ohio facility, we recycle:

💠Plastic packaging that comes through our doors
💠Aluminum cans and plastic bottles
💠Corrugated pallets, which are transformed into small pucks and used as fuel to heat the greenhouses of our local partner, Chef’s Garden
💠 And more!

Together, we’re Getting Rid Of Waste Through Team Harmony and supporting our environment. It’s just one way we live our values every day! 🌱

Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome students from EHOVE Career Center to our Milan, Ohio facility for an exciting Student Bootcamp as part of our strategic partnership with EHOVE!

👟 Students got a behind-the-scenes look at who we are through:
✅ A guided facility tour
✅ A hands-on reaction-time challenge using a drag racing tree
✅ Assembling their own swag kits on our production line
✅ Hearing inspiring career stories from our employee panel

It was a day full of learning, fun, and connection—and a great opportunity to showcase the many career paths available at Corteco!

Corteco North America officially launched our Freudenberg Innovators Pathway in partnership with the Manufacturing Design & Robotics students at — and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

This strategic pipeline is designed to connect students with our Team Members throughout the school year — offering hands-on experiences, mentorship, and real-world project support. At the end of the journey, one standout student will be awarded an Engineering Co-Op with us this summer!

We kicked things off with a Student Bootcamp where students:
🔹 Learned who we are and what we do
🔹 Toured our facility
🔹 Heard inspiring career stories from our Employee panel
🔹 Got hands-on on the production line to build their own swag kits to take home!

This is more than a program — it’s an investment in the future of manufacturing and innovation. 💡
