April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and we want to take the time to focus on promoting safe and responsible driving habits, and raising awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.
Distracted driving has become a major problem in recent years, with the rise of smartphones, social media, and other technologies that can take our attention away from the road. When we are distracted while driving, even for a few seconds, it can have serious consequences. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in 2019 alone, distracted driving was a factor in 3,142 deaths on U.S. roads.
At New Life Driving School, we believe that education is key to preventing distracted driving. We teach our students about the importance of staying focused while behind the wheel, and we emphasize the dangers of using a phone or other electronic device while driving.
During Distracted Driving Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to take the pledge to drive distraction-free. This means committing to keeping your eyes on the road, your hands on the wheel, and your mind focused on driving. It also means putting away your phone and other distractions while driving, and resisting the urge to multitask behind the wheel.
