Your tires are your vehicle's only connection to the road—and worn tires can increase stopping distance and reduce traction, especially in wet weather.

Signs it's time to replace them:
✔ Tread depth is below 2/32"
✔ Cracks or dry rot on the sidewall
✔ Bulges or bubbles
✔ Uneven tread wear
✔ Frequent loss of air pressure

💡 Quick Tip: Insert a penny into the tread with Lincoln's head upside down. If you can see the top of his head, it's time to start shopping for new tires.

🚗 Tire Guide Tuesday: Is Your Tire Pressure Correct?

Driving with the wrong tire pressure affects more than just your tires.

Low tire pressure can:
⬇ Reduce fuel economy
⬇ Increase tire wear
⬇ Affect braking
⬇ Increase the chance of a blowout

Overinflated tires can:
⬆ Wear the center of the tread
⬆ Reduce traction
⬆ Create a rougher ride

💡 Check your tire pressure at least once a month—and always when the tires are cold.

The correct pressure is listed on the driver's door sticker, not on the tire sidewall.

Not every flat tire needs to be replaced.

A tire can often be safely repaired when:
✅ The puncture is in the tread area
✅ The hole is ¼ inch or smaller
✅ The tire hasn't been driven while completely flat
✅ There is no internal damage

A tire cannot be safely repaired if:
❌ The damage is in the sidewall
❌ The puncture is too large
❌ There are multiple punctures close together
❌ The internal structure has been damaged
