Not every A/C problem announces itself with a loud clicking noise.
This 2018 Toyota Camry came in because the A/C wasn’t blowing cold air where it should.
When we scanned the system, we found multiple actuator codes, but none of the clicking you’d normally expect with a failed actuator.
So we kept diagnosing.
We removed the actuators, manually checked the doors for anything broken or binding, and verified power and ground. Everything checked out, which led us back to the actuator motors themselves.
After replacing the failed motors and actuators, everything was moving correctly again and the cold air was blowing exactly where it should.
The lesson? A trouble code gives you a direction. It doesn’t replace proper diagnostics.
At Dana Bros Automotive, we don’t just replace parts and hope for the best. We find the actual problem and fix it right.
