Here’s a example of why we always suggest having a qualified shop diagnose your vehicle. This customer had a no crank/no start issue. They replaced the battery, starter and alternator. After a few tests we found this ground wire to be charred and not getting a propper ground to the engine. A few minutes cleaning it and the vehicle was up and running. This is what “Expierence you can count on” means to us! GM has a bulletin to use this fluid to flush thier 8 speed transmissions expierencing a shudder and harsh shift issue. While many shops would use universal fluid to service your transmission we now use this fluid when performing any maintenance, making sure you get as long of life as possible out of your transmission. This unfortunate scenario seems to happen a hand full of times a month. We remove recently installed cheap parts that failed to install quality parts that we know will last. When we do a repair we want it to last a very long time not just until the warranty expires.

We completly agree with what he’s saying. Oil change intervals are to long and people always go a bit over the miles making it worse. We have the same opinion about transmission service intervals.

With the hot summers we see around here we suggest servicing your A/C every year or every other year even if there’s no issue. Your system will naturally loose some charge over time. Most systems these days hold so little Freon it doesn’t take much loss to effect its performance. Our 134A service is $169 and $299 for a 1234YF service.
