Last week we had a customer bring in his Dodge for it CONSTANTLY leaking transmission fluid, after his last “mechanic” “fully resealed” this transmission… After opening it up we noticed a lot of metal in the pan and filter, then recommended a transmission rebuild… badabing badaboom he got a new rebuilt transmission in his work horse, that no longer leaks! The last “mechanic” also left tons of bolts loose, and also did not fill the transfer case or fix the output shaft seal that was leaking… we covered all the for our man and got him happy as could be 😎

Whether it’s a simple job or a full engine tear down, we’re the people for you 😎

We had a friend bring his 6.0 to us for some minor things. He got a blue spring kit, new fuel/oil filters and just a simple oil change. Surprisingly these little things, will change the way your truck runs! Maintenance is always great, and so are minor fueling upgrades to keep ya truck happy!

Give us a lil love and hit that share button 🤘🏼

We had a customer ask us to look at their dodge because the front end felt loose and could occasionally hear a noise.. after inspection, we noticed 2 of the 4 wheel bearing bolts were cross threaded and still loose, and 1 was completely loose still!!! And then we noticed 4 out of his 8 lug nuts were cross threaded on, and 1 was so wrecked it wasn’t even bolted down all the way!! That’s scary!!!
We immediately recommended a new hub assembly with lug nuts and mounting hardware, the customer approved, and here it is! A great driving truck again 😎😎

Smack that share button and give ya friends over here at 4Whelan some attention 🫣😎

This was a big job for most people, but this is just another day here at 4Whelan!. We got this customer a full timing kit done on his 2017 F150 3.5l ecoboost. He was throwing timing codes and having a bad cold start chatter, after some digging we found a vvt actuator (intake cam sprocket on bank 2) was failing. We used the updated vvt actuators to hopefully prevent this same thing, from happening in another 100k miles.

A key thing to helping keep these things around longer, and not have failures like this (which is the only reason why this truck lasted as long as it did, before having these problems), is to keep up on your maintenance!! For example, your air filters and oil changes help a bunch!

This customer was pushing the limits. He definitely needs some new pads asap! And while we were there, we noticed some deep gouging into 2 of the rotors, so we recommended all new pads/rotors all the way around! Now this truck stops on a dime 😎

From nasty to nice. Give that share button some love 😜

We had a truck come in this week, having a parasitic draw. After multiple days of testing, plugging and unplugging, monitoring fuse temps, etc etc, we learned it all came from the nasty radio harness. After an hour or so of sorting through the trucks harness, and fixing the aftermarket harness, the truck no longer dies over a few days sitting, and the customer is excited to not have to worry about his truck not starting!
