I couldn’t let the rest of the team have all the fun with introductions! To wrap up our team series, it’s my turn to share a little about myself and why I love what I do.

I was born in Oklahoma but raised in Eastern Idaho until my parents moved us to Boise in the mid-70s. I’m a Meridian High grad and went on to attend Boise State University. I’ve always loved calling Idaho home.

My wife, Ronda, and I have raised three children right here in the Treasure Valley, and now we’re blessed to have three grandkids who we get to love on. There’s just something special about the people and the beauty of this state that makes it a great place to live and raise a family.

I’ve been with Farm Bureau since 2010, and just like the company, I truly care about people and helping protect what matters most. Insurance might not be everyone’s favorite topic, but it’s an important one — my team and I work hard to answer your questions and make it simple and easy to understand.

It is my passion to serve others by helping them protect their future, and to leave a legacy for their children and their children’s children.

Next up in our team series, meet Ronda Baxter!

Ronda officially became my licensed agent assistant and business partner in 2019, but she has been my partner in life for over 30 years. Like me, she’s a native Idahoan.

She is a mom and a grandmother, and thoroughly loves all the hats she wears—first with her family and, of course, with the Kerry Baxter Team. She is known for her warmth, genuine care, and the steady support she brings to both clients and our team. Her favorite things outside of work are time with her grandkids and family.

She loves Idaho and believes it to be the best place to raise a family with its natural beauty, friendliness and community spirit.

Ellen Brown was born and raised in Northern California, but she and her family have proudly called Idaho home for nearly five years. She’s quickly embraced all the things that make this state special—the changing seasons, the great outdoors, and the local agriculture that supports a healthy lifestyle.

Since joining our team in 2021 as a licensed agent, Ellen has brought dedication, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help clients feel confident about their insurance decisions. She’s known for her attention to detail and her patient approach, making sure everyone understands their coverage and feels supported throughout the process.

Having Ellen on the team means our clients get expert guidance paired with a friendly, approachable attitude—something we’re proud to offer here at the agency.

I promised I’d introduce you to my amazing team, and though life and work have kept us busy, I’m excited to start sharing their stories with you! First up, meet Nichol Writer!

Nichol is a native Idahoan through and through. Originally a student at College of Idaho, she was invited to attend the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida for a semester and then completed her college degree in communications at Simpson University in Redding, California.

After graduating, Nichol came back home to Idaho, where she’s now raising her family with her husband, Patrick.

She joined our team in 2020, originally managing communications. A couple years later she took on the role of Social Media Manager and, as of the past few months, she’s taken on more responsibilities as a Customer Service Representative.

Nichol loves Idaho for its natural beauty and the safe, fun community we get to be part of every day.
