Owner and master ASE technician Joe Duddie has over 20 years of experience. He has worked on all makes and models of vehicles and was the service manager and shop foreman for a 12 bay garage in Hamden for many years. Last year we increased services to our customers and the greater Meriden community by launching an automotive used car sales business. We buy used cars from various auction houses, dealers and owners. Each vehicle purchased is evaluated using a 19 point safety inspection mandated by CT DMV to ensure applicable repairs have been made to each vehicle prior to sale. Our goal is and always will be to provide our customers with dependable, safe transportation at a reasonable price. WARRANTEE SERVICE
If you’re in the market for a used car, truck or SUV, keep in mind that risk mitigation is part of ownership. The cost for repair parts in today’s market place is high and often exceeds the labor costs for making the repair. Let me give you an example. We had a customer stop in because his car wasn’t running properly. We performed a diagnosis and found the trouble. The cars catalytic converter system had malfunction and needed to be replaced. The industry standard for the repair job was 4 hours of labor. Our labor rate is $85.00 per hour. The cost for the parts to replace the catalytic converter system was around $2600.00, ouch! Likewise if you own a vehicle with an expired warrantee, don’t put yourself at risk for the total costs for parts and labor on repair jobs. For a small fee you can buy a good warrantee package that will protect you from big repair bills. Please consider stopping by our office or calling us on the phone to discuss your warrantee needs. I’m sure we can offer you a suitable warrantee package at a reasonable price that will meet your needs and provide some protection from such unexpected expenses.
