It’s Monte Monday again! Dave is back to work on the 1981 Monte Carlo, and this week he is continuing on the driver side quarter panel. He finished welding up the rear lip of the wheel tub before creating a patch for the front of the wheel lip and welding it into place. Dave then welded up all of the factory spot welds and trim holes on the driver side rear wheel lip, followed by welding up the rear pinch weld. After everything was welded solid, he ground all the welds smooth and finished the day by spraying the inner quarter area and inner wheel tub with black 2 to 1 primer mixture to protect all of the freshly repaired metal. It is another big milestone in the restoration as more rust repair is completed and the Monte continues moving one step closer to completing prep work for the new quarter. There's still a lot more to tackle on the Monte, so stay tuned to see what Dave gets into next Monday!

It’s another unboxing day in the Half Dozen Customs shop! Dave picked up the BAUER 1800 PSI, 1.2 GPM Portable Electric Pressure Washer, a compact pressure washer that packs plenty of power into a lightweight package. It features a 13 amp motor that delivers up to 1800 PSI with a 1.2 GPM flow rate, making it a great option for cleaning vehicles, shop equipment, trailers, and all kinds of outdoor projects. The pressure washer comes with three quick connect nozzles, including a soap nozzle, a 15 degree cleaning nozzle, and a turbo nozzle for heavier duty cleaning. It also includes a 20 foot high pressure hose, a 35 foot power cord with GFCI protection, onboard storage for the accessories, and an instant start electric motor. This should be a great addition to the shop and will definitely come in handy for keeping project parts, equipment, and the work area clean. Dave is currently working on a 1949 Jeep W***ys Pickup, starting with prepping the grille for paint before laying down a fresh coat. After the paint had time to cure, Dave wet sanded and buffed out a few runs to get the finish looking its best. While the grille was drying, he started stripping the grille to firewall support bars and finished getting them cleaned up and ready for paint. To wrap up the day, Dave sprayed the grille to firewall support bars with a 2 to 1 mix, bringing another group of parts one step closer to final assembly. Every freshly painted piece is another exciting milestone as the W***ys continues coming together. Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more work on the Jeep W***ys Pickup!
