Our friend Johnny Herring stopped by with his 1999 GMC Sierra powered by a 2019 LT-4 10 Speed from a ZL1 Camaro, and this thing is awesome.
This truck started out life as a typical 5.3/4l60 truck, but Johnny's love of power wasn't being tickled by the 300 horses that the 5.3 could produce. So, he did the obvious thing; doubled it with a bigger motor that had a blower on top of it! But, this wasn't as simple as "drop it in and go". You've got to have everything work the way it's supposed to. For instance, the power steering.
The LT4 had electric power steering and no provisions for a hydraulic pump. So, he sourced an electric hydraulic pump from a 2011 Volvo S40 and mounted it in the factory battery tray. That obviously meant there was nowhere to put the battery in the engine compartment, so he mounted it in the bed! The next issue he ran into was fuel. The factory fuel pump didn't have enough volume or pressure to run the LT4 and it also isn't a PWM pump. There's also not exactly any aftermarket support to do this kind of thing, so being the fantastic fabricator that Johnny is, he cut and made his own mount for a 2018 Chevy truck fuel pump to go inside the factory 99 tank.
After all that, he still had to get it running and integrated with the rest of the truck, which is when having a group of wiring gurus for friends really comes in handy.
Johnny brought the truck over to us and we got the LT4 running on it's own, and then we married the 2 systems together to make his stock gauges and all of the other under dash stuff work with the LT4. Finally, the truck was on the road, burning up the pavement. However, Johnny very quickly realized that doubling your power on a pickup means that traction was never an option, which didn't sit well with Mr. Herring. He added traction bars to help keep the rear planted when he matted the gas pedal. But that wasn't enough. He needed more tire, but loved the look of the factory GMC snowflake wheels. The mad man cut the rear wheels in half and added 3 and a half inches to the center of them! This gave him the ability to run a 325 tire in the rear!
Pictures really do not do this truck justice. It is absolutely STUNNING in person and when you open the cowl hood, there's a 650 horsepower monster hiding underneath. All in all, this truck is an awesome ride and we are proud to have had a hand in making it all work together.

Being based on the known and loved PCS TCM 2600, this really makes doing your 8 speed swap a breeze.

There's really only 2 ways to make the Chrysler 8 speed function in a hotrod setup. You either:
A: Use a hemi and get the abs module, BCM, push button starter, etc. and cram all of those modules under the already crowded dash of your old hotrod.

OR

B: Use this one module, and fake the 8 speed into being happy and working like it's still in a new car.

The choice seems simple.

When the driveshaft on a 1 ton Cummins fails, it fails in a spectacular fashion, often times doing severe damage to the wiring under the cab. That's where we come in. We take your factory harness (or what's left of it) and we build you a new one on top of it, saving you the aggravation of trying to find another factory harness that may also be mangled from a driveshaft explosion.
