Job description
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and engines
- Perform tire service, including mounting, balancing, and rotating tires
- Weld, align, and fabricate parts as needed
- Operate cranes or other heavy machinery when necessary
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines
- Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs
- Experience with tire service, including mounting, balancing, and rotating tires
- Ability to weld, align, and fabricate parts as needed
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques for brakes, transmissions, and engines
- Familiarity with shocks and struts replacement
- Ability to operate cranes or other heavy machinery safely

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday-8-5pm

Mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
