Santiago Torres & John Ogden started True Family Auto Repair in December of 1998 when working out of his North Lake garage got too cold. But seriously, he and his partner saw a need in the area for a quality auto repair shop with integrity, so they rented a shop, offering general auto repair and truck transport services. Twelve years down the road, Santiago and John decided to go their separate ways. John kept the transport business, and Santiago took the mechanic shop. However, as the mechanic shop had grown significantly, there was a need to move to a larger facility, which Santiago did, to our current location at 1621 N. 31st Avenue in Melrose Park, where we have six bays and a clean, comfortable office with waiting area. Our customers trust us to take personal care of their vehicle's needs, so we take the time to know each of our customers individually. We believe the quality of our work is self-evident, and we strive to provide a high level of convenience by having vehicles serviced and returned the same day.
