We are less than one month away from our barbecue fundraiser. Just a reminder we will be starting on Thursday May 7th and continuing until Saturday May 9th unless sold out beforehand. The last two years we have sold out on Friday evening. We look forward to seeing everyone this year and we thank you for your continued support of the Meeker Fire Department.

One of the coolest places I have watched a 410 sprint car race?

Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma.

We had a tough night there with High Limit, so I ended up watching the feature from the top of the trailer—and honestly, the track was so sick. Guys were absolutely railing the fence in Turns 3 and 4, then pushing right up against the edge in Turns 1 and 2.

What blew my mind was how the bottom and middle worked. Drivers could slow-roll it, looking like they were only at about 20% throttle, and still keep pace. It made traffic racing unreal to watch.

And coming off Turn 2? You’ve gotta be careful—things get sketchy in a hurry with that wall right there.

Just an awesome place to watch sprint cars do their thing.

Just got word that Brent Bartlett passed away this morning. Brent was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was also a dedicated race fan and videographer with thousands of hours logged at race tracks around Oklahoma and beyond. Prayers to his wife and family 🙏

One year ago we had to close the gates(not allow anyone else in) because we were at capacity😳…It was the biggest crowd we ever had and it was for 🇺🇸AMERICA NIGHT!!!
