Are you a pro at fixing high-end European cars? John’s Auto Care Center in Medford is searching for a skilled Automotive Technician with expertise in BMW, Volkswagen (VW), and Mercedes-Benz to join our dynamic team!
What You’ll Do:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in BMW, VW, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, meeting top manufacturer standards
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to catch problems early
Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint and fix issues
Stay sharp on the latest European auto tech and trends
Explain repairs to customers clearly and deliver exceptional service
Keep a safe, organized workspace while collaborating with our crew
What You Bring:
3+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician, specializing in European vehicles (BMW, VW, Mercedes-Benz)
ASE Certification (preferred, especially for European models)
Mastery of diagnostic tools and European automotive systems (engines, electrical, brakes, etc.)
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work solo or with a team
Great communication to break down tech talk for customers
(extra automotive training is a bonus!)

Test drive vehicles to ensure peak performance

What You Bring:
2+ years of experience with domestic and Asian auto repair

ASE certification (preferred)

FAA says iron inclusion on B777 GE90 engine could result in uncontained failure

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a provisional airworthiness directive after General Electric (GE) discovered iron inclusion on the GE90 engine, which is used to power Boeing 777 aircraft.

According to the FAA, GE notified the regulator of the “detection of iron inclusion in a turbine disk manufactured from the same powder metal material used to manufacture certain” high-pressure turbine (HPT) parts. Those include the HPT stage 1 disks, HPT stage 2 disks, forward HPT rotor seals, interstage HPT seals, and stages 7–9 compressor rotor spools for the GE90 engines.

Spring is here, which means it's time for some auto maintenance! Here are some tips to keep your car running smoothly:

1. Have your tires checked for wear and tear. Make sure they have enough tread and are properly inflated.

2. Get your oil and oil filter changed. Fresh oil will help keep your engine running smoothly.

3. Make sure you windshield wipers are replaced if they are worn out. Spring showers are on the way!
